Viernes a la tarde a Torremolinos...

Friday afternoon in Torremolinos...

My last Friday. I was just about to skip my last conversation class but after seeing my favorite prof, Maria Jose, enter the classroom, I changed my mind. Class with Maria was like chatting with a close girlfriend over a glass of wine. Never a dull moment. I was happy with my choice. I told my friends I would meet them in Torremolinos...

Let the adventure begin. After class I organized myself for Torremolinos. First, bus to Malaga bus depot. Next, purchase bus ticket to the Torremolinos. In an attempt to buy a ticket from a machine instead of a person, I bought a ticket to a completely different city. Lesson learned. After quickly realizing my mistake I went to a window and spoke to someone. I then received a message from my friends who left earlier. They weren't actually in Torremolinos. Their bus broke down and they were in Benalmadena. Now how to delay this message to the bus driver so that maybe he could let me out earlier... Luckily Carolina came to the rescue and helped with some crucial bus terminology. The bus driver created a bus stop for me. Relieved. Now where were my friends? Through a quick phone call we located a common landmark. I had about 5km to go. What did I do? Threw off my shoes, strapped up my backpack and started running along the beach. Perfect. I ran right into them.

We had a blast at the beach. There was just about 20 of us there! Swimming. Volleyball. Sun bathing. Before heading back to Malaga we walked along the beach in search of tapas. Daniela (Swiss) and I saved our appetite for tapas at the Malaga harbor with Ramona and Daniela (Germany). Our evening ended with a walk home from the harbor.

Un beso y hasta pronto...
